Fire Department

Welcome to the Eagle Fire Department

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Village of Eagle website! As your Fire Chief, I am honored to serve with the men and women who take pride in being a part of the Eagle Fire Department. Our firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) volunteer MANY hours throughout the month to ensure that they maintain a state of readiness

Eagle Fire responds out of one station centrally located in downtown Eagle and routinely provides mutual aid to six other neighboring communities (Dousman, Palmyra, East Troy, Troy Center, Mukwonago, and North Prairie).

We are a combination fire department consisting of one career fire chief and over thirty highly dedicated volunteers. Staffing during the day includes two part-time paid personnel from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The department currently operates two Engines, two Ambulances (EMT-IV Technician level), a Heavy Rescue, a Tender, a Brush truck, and a staff vehicle.

In 2007 the department responded to 343 “opportunities for service,” including 241 requests for Emergency Medical Services and 102 additional fires and other requests for emergency services

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Why does the emergency equipment run with lights and siren, and then just turn them off?

A. On occasion, the fire engine and / or ambulance will be driving with lights and sirens and then suddenly turn them off--perhaps only to turn into a parking lot or side street. Be assured that when this happens it means we have received information through our 911 dispatchers that the caller or incident is no longer a dire emergency. It is what we call "being cancelled". Any or all of the apparatus may continue to drive to the call or perhaps some will return to the fire station.

Q. Can I get my blood pressure checked at the fire station?

A. Yes. We offer this service free at the fire station. Please recognize that our personnel might be absent from the station due to emergency calls, fire inspections, or training activities.

Q. You transported me to the hospital in an ambulance and I received a bill. Who do I call to discuss the bill?

A. We contract with Kettle Moraine Ambulance Billing for this service. Please contact them at 262.542.9699 for any questions regarding your bill.
